I hope you all had a great 4th of July celebration and your spring hatches are growing out well in preparation for an exciting fall show season upcoming. There are a lot of new shows being started for the first time this year, which is encouraging for the health and growth of our hobby! Show your support for these new shows by adding one to your regular showing schedule. I will list a few extras that I've listed before along with our new ones this month to remind you to seriously consider giving a new show a try. Maybe it will become one of your new favorites! We are especially pleased to see some new ones coming to Mississippi after many years without any!

We have been flooded with new breeder listings this summer and we are so pleased to have a total of 328 listings and see the wide variety of breeds. There are still plenty of breeds unrepresented and lots of people looking for specific breeds. Be sure you're listed if you're not and if you are, be sure you keep up on the "Wanted" ads on the right-hand columns of the breed pages and see if we can make some poultry connections!

One small but helpful new Breeder Directory feature since last month is when you add pictures to your listing, there will be a small thumbnail next to your title showing the first of the pictures you added,drawing attention to your listing. Now is a great time to add pictures if you didn't initially. They have to be small sized files in order to add them so if you had trouble adding them initially and just gave up, please don't let that stop you. Just email up to 4 of your favorite photos of each of your breed listings and I'll get them resized and added to your listing.

If you know of a date that has been set that we haven't yet listed, let us know. We will list our "hold-outs" again at the end of the email and if you know anything about the status, especially if you know they are not happening anymore, let us know so we can keep you all up-to-date and informed.
